The Pennyroyal Charity Horse Show was born out a love of charity, horses and hospice. Pennyroyal Hospice is a 501(c)3 non-profit hospice care facility providing end of life care for those in need and their families in and around the Hopkinsville, Ky area. With programs such as the Butterfly Release, Kids Grief Camp, along with their parocial and music programs, their mission is to make the last transition of life easier on not only the patient, but the family left behind. This show is affiliated with WHOA (Walking Horse Owners Association) and will abide by their rulebook. The Pennyroyal is also affiliated with the WHTA Riders' Cup Program, TWHBEA High Point, and Kentucky Breeders' Incentive Fund, and the Kentucky Walking Horse Association.

STALL RESERVATIONS
STALL RESERVATION DEADLINE - MARCH 11, 2025
Stalls may be reserved by calling or texting Jennifer at 931.205.3493 or email thepennyroyal22@gmail.com. Please include arrival and departure dates along with your contact information.
TRAILERING IN TO SHOW? There is a $40 per day/per horse fee. Please be aware trailering in you must park in designated area. It will be marked for show days.
ENTRIES
ENTRIES WILL OPEN AFTER JAN 30, 2025.
Only online entries will be accepted. To enter your horse for competition, please CLICK HERE to visit horseshowsonline.com. Not a member? Sign up for a free account, click Upcoming Shows and search Pennyroyal; there you can enter your horses.
Scratches/adds may be made until noon each day of the show for horses entered prior to February 23rd deadline with incur a $10 late fee per horse. You must show in a qualifying class to participate in the Best in Show and stake classes. Championship and Best in Show classes may be entered until 2:00PM on Saturday, March 9.
ALL PARTICIPANTS IN RAIL CLASSES MUST BE WHOA MEMBERS. We urge you to sign up for your WHOA membership prior to show by clicking here to visit WHOA's Membership page.

DEVER at KENTUCKY HORSE PARK offers SHAVINGS, STALL MATS & GOLF CART RENTALS.
STALL MATS are highly recommended as the base of the stalls are concrete and can be rented from Dever. You may bring your own shavings, but may not have them delivered from outside company.
The Pennyroyal is proud to serve as the host show for THE PREMIERE, a debut three-year-old trail pleasure competition. With splits falling on Thursday evening, it's sure to be an exciting series leading up to THE PREMIERE final on Saturday night. All equitation classes will be specialty to encourage everyone to try something different at The Pennyroyal.
WILD OATS CHALLENGE
Calling all Owner/Amateur Trained exhibitors...this is your time to shine! Welcome to the Wild OATs Challenge! **STOP BY THE SHOW OFFICE TO SIGN UP!**
How it works:
If you're an OAT exhibitor, you may earn points by competing in any Amateur, Open and AOT/OAT classes (Academy & Lead Line excluded)
Points follow the RIDER showing HORSES THEY OWN. (So, if Jane owns/trains her two horses, and shows in three classes; she will score points for her finish in those classes. If Jane shows her friend's OAT horse and is not owner of record, Jane doesn't receive points.)
Points will be awarded as to placement in class. AOT/OAT specified classes, points will fall as placed.
In Amateur and Open classes, the points will fall 1st/2nd/3rd, etc., beginning with the first OAT rider in the class (example: John shows OAT, amateur and open classes. John places third in Amateur Trail Pleasure; John is awarded 5 points as he was the first OAT finisher in the class)
POINTS: 1st - 5 Points / 2nd - 4 points / 3rd - 3 points / 4th - 2 points / 5th - 1 point
Points will be tallied and prizes awarded at the end of the show Saturday evening. In case of a tie, we will default ot the rider/exhibitor that participated in the most classes.
Winner of the Wild OATs Challenge will receive a prize package sponsored by Pennyroyal Hospice and Barr Studios. Second and third place finishers also receive a prize!

PARKING - PARKING IS FREE FOR PENNYROYAL 2024! There is another event going on at the park that is charging parking. PARKING PASSES WILL BE EMAILED TO ALL EXHIBITORS PRIOR TO SHOW.
